Animal Science
Through hands-on learning, participants develop skill in animals care and health, while deepening their knowledge of genetics and nutrition. Projects may include raising livestock, studying companion animals, or participating in equine activities. Through active participation, members cultivate responsibility, leadership, and teamwork, gaining a meaningful understanding of animal science and its vital role in agriculture.
Beef

Dairy Cattle

Dog
This project is perfect for members who want to learn how to care for dogs and train them in basic or advanced commands. Any kind of dog may be used, except for dogs designed to conform to the American Kennel Club or other professional standards.
Horse

Veterinary Science
The 4-H Veterinary Science project provides an excellent way for young people who care for animals and may want to follow a career in veterinary medicine to explore the topic. In this project, members will learn about animal health, behavior, and visit with veterinarians.
